EQ - Emotional Intelligence -- Request for your workplace or book a 1:1 session. What is the key to acheiving success & happiness? EQ: the awareness of & ability to manage one's emotions, to self-motivate, to recognize emotions in others, and to get along well with others - socially & in close relationships. These skills can be learned or improved at any age. Researched outcomes are improvements in: self esteem, friendships, intimate relationships, creative problem-solving, career success, school success, leadership, teamwork, health, empathy, ability to focus, moral development, initiative. There is also a decreased risk of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, violence, bullying, substance abuse, with higher levels of emotional intelligence.
Parents, Teachers, Early Childhood Educators:
Is Your Child Highly Sensitive? - Seminar given upon request for groups, organizations or by 1:1 consultations in my office. To arrange either format, contact Pam @ 604 868-0958 or pmcatapia@telus.net.
Find out how the strengths and difficulties this trait brings. Dr. Elaine Aron has developed a test that is included in her books on this topic and called it sensory processing sensitivity (noticing subtle differences and thinking deeply about them). This trait is often mistaken for ADHD, shyness or anxiety. Learn how to recognize this trait and how to support your HSP child or HSP children you work with in our not-so-sensitive world.
