Pamela has a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, both from UBC. She is a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) in private practice, & has been a counsellor at Kwantlen Polytechnic & at VCC. Her speciality areas include: Highly Sensitive People, career choice, career management, anxiety, and relationships. She works with individual adults using EMDR, CBT, Gestalt, Family Systems, Psychodynamic & Mindfulness approaches.
Pamela was a medical research consultant for 12 years, has worked as a hospital & clinic nurse, a patient educator, and co-authored 25 scientific research publications. She has taught at UBC, BCIT, VCC, & Kwantlen, and has had contracts with ICBC, HEU, The Arthritis Society, West Van Community Services, West Coast Child Care Resource Centre, North Vancouver School Board, Surrey School Board, Vancouver School Board, & Fed gov't.
Pamela has been interviewed on CBC Radio about anxiety & re bullying in the workplace, was on CBC TV re bullying & for articles on Highly Sensitive People/Children published in The Vancouver Sun (June 23/05), The/La Source (Feb 2008) and Island Parent (June 2005)
